Being a personal trainer for the last 12 years I have been asked this question alot, “Karan, what’s the best way to lose weight, fast?” I have always told my clients that it’s a life style change and that’s how it should be approached.
Trying to change everything at once can be overwhelming for lot of people and they can end up quitting workouts for good. So, my first tip would be is to join a gym I think it always motivate people more when they see other people working towards there fitness goals and at the gym you have more options when it comes to weights and cardio. This way you won’t get bored of doing the same thing over and over again.
Second thing would be get a trainer so someone can be there to motivate you and design a program which is effective and suits your lifestyle so, you can see results and avoid injury.
Third advise would be is to set realistic goals. For Example.. If your goal is to lose weight you should be losing up to couple of pounds a week. anything more could be water weight or muscle and the chances of you gaining it back are pretty high.
If for some reason you don’t have time to go to the gym and can’t get a trainer, below is the very basic beginner’s program that you can follow to get started and it shouldn’t take more then 15-20 min 3 times a week.
- Push up( regular or on ur knees)
- Squats ( with dumbbell or just the body weight)
- Planks( try to hold up to a minute)
- Crunches on the floor
- Try to do each excersice 2 sets of 15.
- Stretch for five minutes before workout and 1o min after.
- Remember the whole workout should not take more then 15-20 mins not included the stretching.
